Wutong Art Students

At the Wutong Monastery in Tongren County, in China's Qinghai Lake area, young student monks learn the traditional Thangka painting style. Tibetans fear their culture and language are being eroded by the heavy influx of Han Chinese into traditional Tibetan areas. I took this photo in September 2010.
