In China's Qinghai Lake district, the Beijing government is attempting to move nomadic Tibetans from their traditional farmlands into resettlement towns like this one, called Dowa, where there are few jobs and little opportunity. Here, an old woman lives on a desolate street in Dowa, August 2010.
